Community Kirtan With Lori
Gather in community for an evening of kirtan - the yogic practice of singing together in community. Rooted in the tradition of bhakti yoga, the yoga of devotion, kirtan invites us out of our individual experience and into something shared. We repeat simple melodies and sacred sounds, allowing rhythm, voice, and collective presence to quiet the mind, open the heart, and deepen our sense of connection. Together, we listen. Together, we sing. Together, we connect.
No musical experience is needed. Sing, play, listen, or simply rest in the sound. There is no performance and no audience. We create the music together. Come as you are. Add your voice or simply receive.
Everyone is Welcome Here
All bodies, backgrounds, and experience levels are welcome. No instruments or musical background are required. Lyrics and gentle guidance will be offered, and the rest will unfold naturally. No prior experience is necessary. There is never a cost.
What to Bring
Feel free to bring a meal to enjoy, a snack to share with the group, or an instrument if you’d like to play or nothing at all. Temperatures at the yoga center can vary, so we invite you to dress in layered clothing to support you comfort throughout the evening.
This Experience is Not Sold
This experience is not sold. It’s shared. Our offerings exist through voluntary giving - as a living expression of the community we are. What we receive is made possible by the many who have given before us, and what we offer allows the practice to remain unowned and open.
