5.15.26 FACILITATOR SPOTLIGHT: KIMBERLY JONES

Kimberly Jones is committed to making yoga accessible to all bodies, levels, and lived experiences. With the belief that yoga is for everyBODY, she cultivates welcoming spaces where folks feel supported, empowered, and encouraged to practice yoga regardless of ability or body type. Her approach integrates movement, breath awareness, and mindfulness while offering adaptive poses and supportive practices that help make yoga accessible and meaningful for each individual.

Kim has shared yoga with folks in psychiatric hospitals and mental health treatment centers. Her offerings in these spaces center around reconnecting to the body, regulating the nervous system, and cultivating a sense of calm, agency, and self-compassion. She thoughtfully adapts each practice to meet people where they are, honoring diverse needs, experiences, and emotional states.

At Community Yoga Center, Kim mentors yogis in both the 200-hour and 300-hour yoga teacher trainings and facilitates All-Abilities Ashtanga Yoga and Sunset Slowdown as part of the Community Yoga Initiative. She also co-chairs the Outreach Committee at CYC, helping spread the word and inviting folks into freely offered yoga experiences throughout the community.

Kim serves as a lead ambassador for the Ananda Yoga Festival . Her assistance with the festival has been absolutely essential, and the event would not be what it is without her dedication, care, and steady presence. Kim offers ongoing support for volunteers and helps nurture the Community Village experience, creating spaces where connection, collaboration, and care can flourish throughout the festival. Her grounded presence and open-hearted service help contribute to spirit of the festiva from beginning to end.

We are deeply grateful for the compassion, inclusivity, and service Kim brings to every space she enters.
