HOW MUCH DOES THE TRAINING COST?
At Community Yoga Center, we are inspired by sharing yoga - not selling it. This inspiration shapes every aspect of our Yoga Teacher Training program, especially our approach to tuition. Our training is intentionally priced at a fraction of the cost of most yoga teacher trainings - typically half to one-third of standard tuition. We keep costs low on purpose to make this offering accessible to a wider and more diverse community. Rather than operating as a profit-driven program, tuition simply supports basic operating essentials, including facility use, utilities, and insurance costs.
All instruction is offered on a volunteer basis. Our instructors teach from a place of genuine dedication to the practice and a deep commitment to sharing yoga with others. What makes this program truly special is the depth and breadth of our teaching team. Our instructors bring a collective wealth of knowledge, decades of experience, and diverse perspectives - often exceeding what is found in many higher-priced programs. They teach because they are inspired, devoted, and passionate about supporting the next generation of practitioners and teachers.
This is not a program built on selling yoga. It is a program built on community, service, and integrity.

How is THIS YOGA TEACHER TRAINING different from OTHER YOGA TEACHER TRAININGS?
This training goes beyond poses and sequencing to offer a rich, integrative approach to yoga. Together, we explore the whole of the practice. Postural practice becomes a gateway into a more meaningful relationship with yourself and a foundation for sharing yoga with others in mindful and helpful ways.
Our accredited 200-Hour Foundational Yoga Teacher Training is designed as a deeply immersive journey into both personal practice and skillful teaching. Throughout the program, you’ll be supported in cultivating a practice that feels authentic and sustainable, while exploring yoga philosophy as a living, relevant path. Through meditation, subtle energy awareness, and embodied inquiry, you’ll deepen your understanding of yourself and develop your voice as a facilitator - clear and compassionate.
For those who wish to continue their journey, our 300-Hour Advanced Yoga Teacher Training offers the opportunity to deepen your studies through hands-on experience, including a “learn by doing” internship at Community Yoga Center.
What distinguishes our learning and practice opportunities from others is our heart-centered approach. We have a heart-full way of exploring the emancipatory force that yoga really is. This yoga teacher training emphasizes the holistic aspect of yoga for the cultivation of physical, mental, and emotional health. Yoga is more than exercise - it is a state of connectedness. This state is achieved through many ways - through the perennial practices of yoga: yamas-niyamas, asana, pranayama, pratyahara, dharana, and dhyana. This teacher training combines yoga essentials - ethics and integrity practices, mindful movement, breathing techniques, meditation and relaxation, and yogic knowledge. By incorporating all these beautiful facets of yoga we not explore the physical body, but also really sharpen our sensitivity and awareness of subtler levels of existence.
