WHAT MAKES THIS TRAINING DIFFERENT?
This is NOT a skim-the-surface kind of yoga teacher training limited to postural practice, sequencing, and alignment. It's more than an education in exercise and physical flexibility. This transformative learning experience weaves together the study of yoga history, philosophy, language, art, and science with the practice of yoga ethics, techniques, and service.
It includes a refined approach to postural practice as a gateway to the core practice of yoga. You'll learn to integrate energy attunement, mindfulness, and meditation with postural practice to develop a rich personal practice that will naturally inform your sharing of yoga with others.

WHAT MAKES THIS TRAINING DIFFERENT?
The 300-Hour Advanced Yoga Teacher Training builds upon the 12 touchpoints at the core of our foundational program and emphasizes learning by doing through a yoga internship at Community Yoga Center.
This is a pragmatic, hands-on training where you consistently shadow experienced mentor facilitators, observing the yoga concepts and practices they share, and eventually sharing your own yoga offerings with mentor guidance in a supportive environment.
The training emphasizes the subtleties of yoga practice and the nuances of sharing yoga in increasingly inclusive and accessible ways.
WHAT'S INVOLVED?
Alongside the shared curriculum of weekend learnshops, mentor and peer group meetings, self-paced study, journaling, and regular yoga practice, the advanced training includes three additional program practices:

WhO ARE THE TEACHERS?
Danielle Adams, Inga Buchbinder, Kimberly Jones, Allison Hagen Kennedy, Tobias Moyneur, Catherine Murray, Cherie Robinson, Kristin Varner, and Blanca Wright facilitate the yoga teacher trainings, alongside former students who serve as mentors and special guest facilitators who enrich the program with additional perspectives and expertise. They are guided by what bell hooks describes as a love ethic - heart values that embrace all dimensions of love, including kindness, compassion, joy, and trust. They recognize the grace that yoga is and prioritize sharing the practice wisely and respectfully for the benefit of all.
